Treat yourself! Whip up a nice, big batch of cake batter, and bake a double decker all for you! Here's a WONDERFUL recipe from Wilton Cakes that I have used hundreds of times. Go to www.wilton.com for endless recipes and ideas for every occasion! Mmm, mmm, gotta get away from here or I'll start drooling on the keyboard!!! ♫♪

Butter-cream Icing

Ingredients:

* 1/2 cup solid vegetable shortening
* 1/2 cup butter or margarine*
* 1 teaspoon Clear Vanilla
* 4 cups sifted confectioners' sugar (approx. 1 lb.)
* 2 tablespoons milk**

Cream butter and shortening with electric mixer. Add vanilla. Gradually add sugar, one cup at a time, beating well on medium speed. Scrape sides and bottom of bowl often. When all sugar has been mixed in, icing will appear dry. Add milk and beat at medium speed until light and fluffy. Keep icing covered with a damp cloth until ready to use. For best results, keep icing bowl in refrigerator when not in use. Refrigerated in an airtight container, this icing can be stored 2 weeks. Re-whip before using.

YIELD: 3 cups

*Substitute all-vegetable shortening and 1/2 teaspoon Wilton No-Color Butter Flavor for pure white icing and stiffer consistency.

**Add 2 tablespoons light corn syrup per recipe to thin for icing cake.

If you can't use it within, say 3-6 months, but can use it within the year, make sure to store it in the freezer to prevent those little bugs from living in it. Alos true with flour, cornmeal, ect.

well, if you want to keep the sugar for yourself, go to the store and get some tupperware so that you can divide the sugar up and keep it from getting lumpy. Other than that , if you have a few choice enemies you could always go dump some of it in their gas tanks.......
