You may walk in, or mail in your renewal application. Passport renewals usually take five (5) working days (do not count Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays) provided that all the documentary requirements have been met. Only in extreme emergency cases, such as death of a relative in the Philippines, and subject to the discretion of the consular officer, are immediate release of passports allowed.

Contact the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles:

3600 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 500, Los Angeles, CA 90010; tel. no. (213) 639-0980 to 85/fax no. (213) 639-0990 / e-mail: LAConsulate@pcgenla.org.

More or less three days, a claim stub will be given to you after you completely filed your application for renewal in the Department of Foreign Affairs.

If your old passport does not have your full middle name then you need to bring/send a copy of your birth certificate along with the old passport. Believe me, they won't process the renewal without it.
