There is such a thing as being too thin. You lose your breasts for a start and you start to look grey and awful. Slim and healthy is one thing, looking ill is never attractive. Who cares what size you fit into if you look like a famine victim? Have you seen HBOs doc movie "Thin"? It's pretty sad.

a size zero[0] that depends on the person. inspiring ? that depends on the person. While some people do and are sick being a size 0 , some would actually like to be a size 0 or larger. Two women i work with are smaller than a size 0. Thes two are actually very healthy and are not even anorexic nor bulimic, nor have any eating disorder . this is just their physique. One of these ladies is embarrassed to be this small, but has no control over the situation. as a matter of fact , the whole family is like this; and it goes back generations.

I feel that it all depends on the body composition, height, and such

for a 5 foot 2 girl a size 0 may still have curves.. and as long as they are healthy and exercise it can be in perfect health to achieve this size

however.. some people who live by the rule that size zero is the only size to be... this can become very unhealthy... it all depends on the person

i am a size 1 but i am 5 foot 4 .. i weigh 120lbs because i exercise and build muscle.. at size 1 i am curvy and have never been compared to a stick...

be healthy and fit and whatever size that fits you when you are in good health is the right size

In answer to your question I think size Zero is downright dangerous this is making young girls think its ok to be anorexic. There is a program on TV tomorrow about size Zero and its being done to show how dangerous this obsession is. The girls who end up like this do need help to be happy within themselves. Everyone is different and wouldnt it be a boring world if we werent.

Oh and James some of us plus sizes are very happy with who we are and are far healthier than some slimmer people I know !!

I always tell my daughter not to be so concerned about being a little curvy. Most of her friends are stick thin and she says the boys like them more than her because she is a little curvy, but as she gets older and develops more she will be very beautiful (she already is) and the boys will be chasing after her not the girls that have no curves.

I have yet to find any "normal"man who thinks the size zero look is anything other than very, very sick. It is the product of a strange industry which appears to have no morals when using stick insects to sell clothes which will eventually be worn by normal females.
It's the same weird mentality that uses young, wrinkle free females to sell anti-wrinkle cream. Don't fall for it ladies and please, never aspire to be like these sick size zero freaks.

I'm naturally slim & i often wish i could put on a few pounds, The heaviest ive weighed is 91/2 stone & i was 8 months pregnant. I think its a shame that peeps have to turn towards starvation for this new size zero. They should learn to love themselves for who & what they are, Ive had too.

Yes, I agree with your take on this. No-one should ever aspire to be a size 0, that is not normal. But if someone is naturally that size, they can't help that and that is fine as long as they are healthy.

HTH : )

Yeah, who wants to have a body like a 12 year old boy? I look at really skinny people as either sickly or maybe druggies. Because they do not look healthy. I know in many countries the bigger you are the hotter you are to men. Gee, I think I'm gonna move.

People obsessed with weight are being brain-washed by subliminal and not so subliminal messages we are all exposed to every day. After awhile, it becomes no longer an issue of weight and psychological roots are formed in perfection, control, self-esteem etc. Weight obsession is a physical veil for underlying psychological issues.
