No. The insurancce company has rules on who can be covered by a parent's policy. The IRS has rules on who can be claimed as a dependent. Those rules aren't necessarity the same, so it's very possible that you can still be covered under your mom's health insurance policy but not claimed as a dependent.

If you take full time classes but still support yourself fully and make over a certain amount, then that has nothing to do with your income or your dependency on her financially. You are just using her for the health benefit, not full benefit. File your own taxes like normal. The only question I have known to ask for are medical contributions and medical expenses and if you pay out of pocket or not. This does not affect you.

I would say not, because I'm not dependent on anyone but am on both parents insurance. You'll have to check with the insurance company. Usually they require you to EITHER be a student or dependent.

It depends on her insurance coverage. Many policies stipulate that you must be a policy-holder's dependent in order to receive benefits. Find the insurance contract and look into it.
