If the guy seems interested in you, but you have heard that he doesn't really talk to people unless you talk to him (kinda shy), is it a good idea to send them a message saying something like "Hey whats up? I know we haven't really ever talked that much, but you seem like a really awesome person. I would really like to get to know you better! What do you think about that? Get back to me when you get the chance!"
Do you think that's a good idea to get the ball rolling? This seems like a pretty good idea to me, to let him know that I'm interested, but I really do like him a lot, and I want something to happen, and I'm afraid that if I send him that, that he might think i'm dumb or something. What do you guys think? Do you think that would be a pretty good idea to send him that, and if not, do you have any other GOOD IDEAS??

I think that if this guy is shy, then you will have to make the first move. However, I don't think it should be a message. It's not that he would think you're stupid, it's just that if he's shy maybe a message like that would be a bit overwhelming (like, he'd have to answer it). Why don't you try something face to face? Does he go to the same school as you? Then, you can just start with some small comment in the hallways or whatever. Or do you know any of his friends? Then, maybe you could work it out that you'd be somewhere socially together ( a lot easier for introductions)
I'm a shy person myself, and I would prefer something casual and natural, rather than a message.

I definitely would say something like "Hey what's up?" and just start out with something small. You'll see wether he is interested or not in the way he responds. Once you say, "Whats up?" and stuff, ask what he likes and make the focus on him so he can feel like he relates to you a lot more than other people! Well hope this helps and good luck!

Yes..it is a good idea to send him a message.......No what you are wanting to send is no good........do not say the part about ..I know we haven't really ever talked that much ..skip that.....You can say Hey what's up ? I think you are awesome and would like to talk sometime . Can we get together for a .......(fill in the blank............? movie, soda,coffee, ) is it too vague to say get back to me when you get the chance.......he may never get the chance.........hope this helps............your idea is a good one

well that is an OK thing it probably would get the ball rolling but it might be better to just talk to him in person first and start there
