what are the laws in florida on wearing a bullet proof vest?

To my understanding, the only law concerning a bulletproof vest applies to wearing one during the commission of certain crimes. Bascially, if you commit "murder, sexual battery, robbery, burglary, arson, aggravated assault, aggravated battery, kidnapping, escape, breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony, or aircraft piracy" while wearing a bulletproof vest, you are penalized more harshly than if you were not wearing a vest. If you wear a vest while committing any of the listed crimes, they add a 3rd degree felony on top of the charges for the crime itself.

I looked through the Florida Statutes, and this was the only restriction I could find. I'll put the link to the statute I quoted so you can check it out.

Note: Florida weapons laws can be funky. I remember trying to decode them when I lived there, and it wasn't easy. I would consult with an attorney if you're thinking of wearing a vest, just to be sure.

any body can wear a vest you just cant carry a weapon with out a consealed weapons permit and those are hard to get, I here target permits are easy to get they allow you to carry a gun unloaded in your vehicle. Also If you get a vest make sure you know what your buying there are a lot of cheep ones out there, such things as trama plates will help you stay on your feet after your hit. with the thinner vests you can expect broken ribs and such they mainly just stop penatration. I used to wear a full wrap when I was in highschool. Dont get a flap jacket cause you might get shot in the side. when you here bullets whislting past you its time to do something else anyway. Stay up

If you were convicted of a felony, it's against the law to even own one.
