Sounds like you want to move on from the friends with benefits stage you are in now.
What you need to do, is talk to him, and see what he is feeling.
You may be in a dead end relationship. If he's happy with the way things are, and why wouldn't he be, then it's up to you, do decide what you want.
If you want more, as it seems, then you have to dump him and find a real boy friend. You won't find one, while you are playing the friends with benefits game.

I have experienced this before, more than once, and the best thing to do is bring it up something like this: "Hey, I know we've went out a couple of times, but I guess I just feel like there are a few things that need to be cleared up. Do you feel like we are dating casually or exclusively?" if he says casually then you are fine and you can proceed by saying that casually dating him is what you are most comfortable doing and that you aren't ready to take it any farther. If he says exclusively, then you will have to break it to him by saying that right now, you justaren't ready to be in a serious relationship, but that you really enjoy his company and the things you guys do together. Tell him that you would feel more comfortable if you guys could just date casually.
Good Luck

I'm in this situation right now and if your friends says that he want to ask you out than let him but make sure that if something was to ever go wrong that yall will still remain friends no matter what.

Tell him how you feel subtly so that there is room for both of you to continue as friends if things don't work out. But before u do so, think hard if he will make a good bf or husband if not no point going further. cheers.

just be open with him, theres no reason to feel embarassed by coming out and asking where u stand or whatever. Tell him how you feel and i'm sure he'll be honest and open too.
