Faintfiend, If you like the St.Michelle, try just about any of the Dr.Loosen Rieslings. St. Michelle is the same winemaker but in the US. The Dr. Loosen varieties are German. Great wines. Try JJ Prum too. I love riesling wines and these are some of the best I've tried.

I like red wine. My favorite is made by Louis Bernard and the type of wine is Cotes du Rhone. It is a French wine from a place called Rhone.

My favorite is Robert Mondavi's Pinot Noir. It has great flavor and is holds it's own very well to Pinot Noirs 3 to 4 times it's cost.
But Pinot Noirs' in general is my favorite.

It depends on the food I'm having with the wine.
If I'm just having a glass by itself....
Hot summer day; Chablis or White Burgundy
Rainy or winter day by the fire; Zinfandel or Bordeaux

Personally, mine is Chateau St. Michelle Riesling. I'm more of a fruity white fan, and that fits the bill perfectly.
