It's good to hear what other people have to say and to discover what others think about a certain situation...sometimes you ask a question for advice or interest. It's good to help each other in a positive way, i don't see any harm in that.

The internet is all about communication, and it's probably the first thing to disappear in any kind of relationship. People need to talk about what's causing them heartache and if they're talking to someone they don't know, they're more likely to be honest about what's happening to them. That's the first step in the healing process. I can see where you're coming from but surely anything that gets people talking to and helping each other has got to be a very good thing.

Well it's very interesting you should ask that, because you see, both my girlfriends broke up with me today, and one of them is going out with another ex-girlfriend, and there's this guy who smiles strangely at me, I'm a bit scared, do you think he likes me....?
Actually, I think it's probably something to do with anonymity. Hiding behind the mask of an avatar, you can ask a wide variety of people from different backgrounds and different experiences about something, without any of them ever meeting you. It's a bit difficult to ask a person straight out about their or your feelings, and also if you talk to friends about personal things, they will immediately know who you are talking about and (in my case) start bugging me incessantly, plus not having the variety of backgrounds, etc.

1. People are afraid of judgement, hence, strangers that you cannot even see, are probably easier than anyone in person.

2. Strangers are more apt to support you, especially if they don't have all of the facts.

most people are more likely to ask questions or express themselves over the internet because no one is around to judge them. So they may even feel braver while on the internet or even texting because they can speak their mind without worry about what others think

i understand your point! but maybe, well no actually its easier to be no-one in a place full of everyone and ask thier opinion as you wont be judged really! and even if you are you can think to yourself - well you dont know me so whatever!! its just easier and helps people confront fears etc.

Be open, there's nothing wrong with that, and sometimes who know you might get better ideas from strangers than from what you sometimes call friends. Try that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

no not always you get answers from someone who is not partial to the situations and get more honest answers from those who just give advise.
