A girl that i just become preety close friends with Father became very sick and went into the hospital yesterday the only way i know is that my dad works with hers at the same college. I want to ask her if she is ok but i dont know if she wants me to know and what should i say if anything

Well, if she hasn't mentioned it to you it might be something that she wants to keep to herself, either because she's scared or just a very private person. Here's what you do, just mention casually that she doesn't seem like herself lately and ask if anything is bothering her. If she wants to talk about it, she will, if not then don't press the issue. If you are really good friends then go ahead and tell her that you heard her Father was the hospital. Tell her you're sorry and let her know you'll help her in any way you can.

Tell her you heard her Dad had been sick. Don't tell her that your Father told you. He is not suppose to disclose that information due to all this HIPPA law stuff. Just tell her you were concerned and if there is anything you can do let her know. Just leave it at that.

Just ask her if she is going to be ok. And ease into it. Like how is her mom or siblings holding up and if there is anything you can do to help her feel better. Things like that. GOOD LUCK!!

when u chill wit her ask and she looks upset or worried or whatever, ask her if shes okay.... ull find out what u wanna kno without telling her u already kno, plus itll get u some bonus points with her for showing u care about her

well you should tell her that you are sorry and that you found out from your dad and just be there for her if she needs a friend and maybe you could get some flowers for them
