I would donate clothes to local Goodwill or Salvation Army or Value Village. If you wish to help Africa, from what I know - it is better to just donate money than clothes as they don't end up getting the clothes in the end. Oprah has a good charity set up for donating to Africa and I believe Unicef. I wanted to donate clothes for Katrina and was told that donating clothing is a waste of time and effort, money is what is needed and Red Cross will take care of the rest. I had a ton of clothes to donate but it wasn't wanted by the charities. If you do find somehow, that there is a charity that will accept your clothing donation and guarantee that it goes directly to Africa, please let me know as I would love to donate directly.

Donate them to your local "Salvation Army" or "Good Will" stores. It will be too expensive to ship them to Africa.

Many mission organizations take clothes. But you do injustice when you make third world countries get addicted to western clothes which are expensive and unsuitable for their environment.
