I would say go for it. I am getting married Sept 15 and I have already begun making my own. I have mine finished and I am in the process of finishing 8 bridesmaids and one to toss!! I bought my flowers from Hobby Lobby when they were 50% off and it didnt cost very much at all. I am very pleased with them and so is everyone that has seen them. There are many different ways to put them together. I used glue guns and glued them together, then put green floral tape around it up to the flowers and then put ribbon all around it then some kind of bow!! If you are using real flowers you could do it but I dont know if you will want the headache the night before the wedding since you will have so much going on. GOOD LUCK!!

Hi my answer is No, not if you dont know how to make them in the first place. I am getting married this year and I was thinking on doing the same as you. But then I thought to myself I dont know where to start on making them, and it will porbably coat a fortune on flowers artifical or real to practise with and then It might not look right. Wedding are enought stress as it is so I would just get someone to do it for you then its one less thing to worry about. What I would do is ring around and find out who is the cheapest. If they wont give you an answer of what they start from or sayit depends on what you want and they wont give you a price list then doont go with these people as they will be very expensive, all the people who said this to me said my bouqeut started from £200. I was like noway!, So i found a cheaper place who had a price list and mine started for £60 and the bridemaids was only £40. I was expecting the lady to give me mthe biggest bouquet there but she said because Im small I will only need a little one as then you will see the detail of my dress.
I would just look around and get prices and dont go to the people who dont give prices.

It certainly saves alot of money in my opinion, and if you're the least bit crafty then you shouldn't have any problems doing it yourself! I'm scheduled to be married in May and I've already made my own bouquet, corsages and boutineers, but then mine are made from silks so I could go ahead and have them made and out of the way. If you're using fresh cut flowers then, yes you could make them the night before and store them in the fridge until needed the next day, just make sure that you keep certain ones watered with those small water vials attached to the stems. Here is a link that I've really found helpful to me in preparing and doing alot of wedding preparations myself.

I hope this helps you and you can go to Better Homes & Gardens website for alot of ideas too, beautiful bouquets on there!
Best wishes for a happy and beautful wedding day!!

I bought mine but made the ones for the bridesmaids to save money. I wanted to make my but it was very complicated due to the size and I didn't want to stress about it. I am So glad I did that. I wasn't sure waht I wanted but the lady at the flower shop was SO helpful and it was worth the money. I LOVED my flowers!!!! I actually had my girls carry in candles that I decorated with berries that were a part of my bouquet. Good luck!!

I'm not sure what kind of flowers you are using, but i'm getting married in August and I'm using red and white roses. I went to some craft stores, and walmart. Right now all of the Valentines Day stuff is like 70% off I am making all of the boquets for $2.80. So if you are using roses I would go search right now for those Valentines Day clearance flowers! Good Luck!

i actually went to a demonstration done by a wedding florist, suprisingly easy. i think if you are having a large bunch etc it could be trickly, but easy to do something simple. do it the night before, spend money on decent flowers if u can, so they stay fresher for longer, keep them in a bucket of water overnight in a cool ish place. use normal fabric pins to hold it together then buy some ribbon or whatever to cover the bit you will hold. do a practice run a few days beforehand if you can so you know what you are doing.

If you're in the UK, try www.jcpworks.co.uk

She makes silk bouquets and is awesome - the flowers are beautiful! Silk flowers work out a LOT cheaper.

To me it is easier to make your own bouquet. I am getting married on the 24th of this month and I went to Hobby Lobby for my bouquets. They always have 50% off their florals and coupons for 40-50% off the supplies. You can also go online to www.hobbylobby.com to print the coupons. Hopefully, you have one near you. Also try Michaels. I hope this helps you.

Would only attempt this if you are artistic regarding flowers. You could practice with silk ones but there's nothing like proper fresh flowers for your bouquet as it should be so tread carefully if you decide to attempt this.....good luck!!!
