Anorexia is actually defined as loss of appetite

However, in modern times, Anorexia Nervosa is the term coined for those who don't eat because they are worried about their body image or for another reason.

The two terms are frequently interchanged and used incorrectly.

Anorexia is when a person doesn't eat and their meals are like, lettuce leaves. They always worry about their weight and think that they are fat even if they're not. About 10-20% of people who are anorexic may die because their stomach will start eating it's self and they won't be able to eat. People try to get anorexic people to therapists and such so that they can help them figure out that they are not fat. I hope I explained it well!
