My son loves all the plug and play games that you can buy at Wal-Mart. they have numerous games on each set, so its worth it. They have thomas the train, dora, diego, spongebob, and so many more. It keeps him occupied, but helps him learn to count, and see words and listen to their meanings.

Both my 3yo and 1yo daughters play video games. My 3yo has the Leapster TV system and plays the Dora, Disney Princess, Cars, etc. games. We also have an XBox 360, so my husband and I help her play Cars for the 360. It's not educational, but it's not violent either. I definitely recommend the Leapster TV though. We play the games together and they're educational games, the controls are easy enough for her to do herself (most of the time) and she's been doing much better with her letters and numbers, etc. since Christmas (they were Santa presents).
What can I say? I have a little tomboy on my hands. :)

My neighbours did this and now their son is a young person. they have not any self-discipline. he's 14 and having ex together with his lady pal and all they did grew to become into purchase him a container of condoms. At age 8 he might run around the backyard with an genuinely sword, swinging it around. At 3 he grew to become into enjoying violent video games too. surprisingly adequate he grew to become a great candy and extremely respectful youngster yet this is coz his grandparents are VERY strict and thank God they stay on an analogous highway. i think of he might've grew to become out extraordinarily diverse had it no longer been for his elders. the difficulty with our society, extraordinarily in Canada, is which you would be unable to remark on all and sundry's parenting even while it particularly is down genuine risky and/or stupid and this has have been given to end! i might hand them a pamphlet on the psychological outcomes of violence in early babies. Will they be mad? definite. must you care in the event that they're? No. i'm going to take exhilaration in having the youngster as a pupil of mine in some years. I prepare in an option college for psychiatrically disturbed adolescents.

My 3 year old son enjoys video games a lot. Although we do limit his use to them he gets them for rewards. We bought him a vetch vsmile as a reward for finally finishing potty training! He loves the thing and I like it too because it teaches him things as he plays unlike most games for systems such as X BOX or Play station. We also have bought him a few computer games and so far his and our favorite one is Blues Clues 123's.

He really like StarWars Legos. He has a lot of Spiderman Xbox games.
He plays Pac Man and loves Sonic too. It is amazing how quick they catch on to the games.

Mario type games are great for the little ones because they dont have all the violence. I would stick with those and like you said the games on Nick.com. Also check Disney.com for good online games for small ones.

I think in moderation it is okay. However, have you considered introducing V-Smile or something education that is geared towards pre-schoolers?
Nick Jr.com is awesome!
Again, I stress the moderation. :-)
