I have reformated my hard drive loads of times without any difficulties but this time by accident i reformated it with all my Pics, Music, and college work. is there a proven software that can recover my stuff. my m8's said ontrack is good, but i tried it and have had no luck so if u guys could help me that would be great thanks!

No one is better then the other, I used stomp soft recover lost data, it would good for getting back pictures and music, but did;t do a good job at getting back documents and other stuff. The scan took around 3-5 hours to complete.

I would suggest in the future to starting backing up that kind of stuff onto Cd's, flash drive and other portable basis of storage. There are also online data storage basis, some will start you off for free and if you want more space you pay for it.

You can recover data after hard drive reformat with hard drive format recovery software. When computer HDD was formatted, the raw data of files on the hard drive were not erased and still there on hard drive. So it is possible to recover deleted files after PC hard drive reformat. However, if the partition is replaced, the files data are overwritten, which makes files recovery not possible.

active undelete is a good one
as is ontrack data recovery pro
or hauri disk recovery

keep in mind most will NOT let you ( nor do they reccomend ) recovery to the same drive you are reading from, it's best to have a 2nd slave drive to recover to

i think try to put the cd or else and prees the format button and it works
