hello, i want to name my daughter Skylla Michelle how does that sound? (i know about the back ground of the name Skylla, i still think it's cute)

maybe change the spelling of skylla to Skyler, Skylar you know what i mean? it does sound pretty but wait until your kid finds out what it means, all hell could possibly break loose.
But if you wanted to keep the name unique play around with the spelling and change it that way so that it still says the same just different. You will be surprised what you can come up with.

It's very unique -- however, think about your child, rather than "cute[ness]" -- your daughter will have to go through years of teasing and mispronunciation of her name before she will be able to appreciate her name's good qualities. Stick with a traditional name like Michelle as her first name, and then do something more eclectic and unique like Skylla as her middle name. Good luck and hope this helps you!!!

Skylla...The man-eating beast with six heads from the Illiad? Well...unless the kids in school read Greek Mythology I doubt she will get teased, but someday she might find out the background of her name, and I 'm not sure she will appreciate you for it...

If what you know about the name is negative then it would not be good to use. Have you ever thought of a choice of names for yourself would you still prefer your own? A child reaches a stage where he/she questions the origin and meaning of their name and knowing something about themselves may feel another name would fit best. Think about giving your child a name with meaning that gives more of a purpose to their lives and perhaps a goal to reach. Names are very important and directing!!!!

Whats the background about the name? Wait you want to name your baby after a greek sea creature? UMMM okay. Just think about how she will feel when she discovers this. Even if it sounds cute is that what you feel good about when you go to bed at night?
