Despite what others may say, that combo is probably decent. $200 won't buy you a lot of subwoofer. If you are on a tight budget, you probably can't afford an amp that will produce a lot of current. This means that to get loud, you need a high efficiency subwoofer system. Generally speaking, a bandpass is going to be the most efficient. If you've heard a bandpass and you liked the way it sounds, that is the most cost effective way to go. Unless you are going to build your own box, only buy a bandpass as a system, sticking a woofer in a bandpass box will almost never give good results. Bandpass boxes are very particular so matching the box to the woofers is essential. If you buy it as a system, the box is built specifically for the woofers.

You can have a good sounding system without any rear speakers at all. If your budget is that tight, stick with the front. If you can afford to put some amplifier power on them, it will only make them sound better (and louder) than they already do. I don't know what size your fronts are, but if they are really small (3.5", etc...), you may find a gap between where they leave off and where the sub picks up. If that is the case, the rears may help with that.

go to caraudiodeals.com and checkout their packages they have a package with 2 audiobahn 12's,a lanzar amp,box and amp kit for $220 and the subs and amp are better that the ones in your package as for the sony headunit they dont make very good ones and the pioneer speakers are good. i would get whatever fits in the rear 6x9 or 6" or 6.5"
