My buddy, from Stamford, CT, you could take Metro-North's New Haven Line to Grand considered necessary Terminal. The holiday from Stamford takes approximately ninety minutes. solid success community New Yorker

If going east towards New Haven, north towards New Canaan, Danbury or Waterbury, take Metro-North.

At New Haven, if going anywhere between there and New London (such as Guilford, Branford, Old Saybrook), take the Shore Line East.

Otherwise, if going to Hartford, take Amtrak.

Either the Metro-North: http://mta.info/mnr/index.html

or

Amtrak: http://www.amtrak.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Amtrak/HomePage

it depends on where in CT you're coming from.
