Tomorrow i have to get a suppository (medical procedure..2 of them!!) for the first time and i'm 15.. I hear it's where they push a pill up your butt but that's all i know. does it hurt a lot? do i have to take off my clothes?

i'm embarassed about it a lot. do i have to stand up or what do i do? what if i make my cheeks tight together or try to so they cant put it in? what if they put it in and i push it out?

does it make me go to the bathroom the same way or diffferent and longer?

I would redirect you to the section about medical questions, because you are guarenteed to get sarcastic answers from the "Jokes and Riddles" section people.

Plus, I would advise you to ask a knowledgable adult or consult a medical resource than just questioning random people from the internet, but please know that it is nothing to worry about, that it is just a common procedure, and that it is perfectly natural to be anxious.

But just to offer you some relief:

Suppositories are not supposed to remain there indefinetely, so don't worry. They are inserted as a solid, but melt away quickly with the help of your body temperature and are absorbed soon thereafter. You will need to have them inserted soon after going to the bathroom so that you do not expel it out before it is absorbed. Your doctor may want to use a suppository because of a local infection or your condition may not allow tablets, syrups or pills. Due to the nature of this procedure, you will need to take your clothes off, but don't worry, the doctor will help you overcome your initial embarrassment.

Good luck!

I'm French, and when I was younger, I often had to take suppositories up the as*. My mum used to do it, so don't worry, it's not difficult to do.

Just relax, and it'll go fine. The only thing you need to do is go to the bathroom to do #2 before. If you don't relax, it's going to hurt a bit, nothing bad. It's really tiny, you know.

No side effect, except when you finally go to the bathroom, it makes a weird sound, which I found funny when I was a kid!
