The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer is a 39 mile walk that takes place over two days. They are held in 8 different cities in the US. The things they have done with the money raised is amazing. Check it out. www.avonwalk.org
(I'm walking this year in Chicago!)

RACE FOR CURE is one of them. What the primary benefit of these organizations is for is to RAISE MONEY FOR CANCER AWARNESS.

Sounds like a project to raise research funds but not so. The funds are used to print pamplets, distribute them, then create media hype awareness and get women to check their bodies for breast cancer and have mamograms, etc.

Really a beneficial and good organization. Im sure saved many lives over the years.
