When you are developed from stem style into a baby in your mother's uterus you need to get ready for the world is a really short amount of time. Think about it, there's a lot of work to done in nine months! The things you need to survive are done before you enter the world, but a lot of changes happen once your born. With most people, especially of caucasian descent, they're born with white or blonde hair and gray eyes. Over time, starting with eye color, these pigments get layed down based on our DNA. Overtime as we get older and our body follows out what is encoded in our DNA, the instructions tell it to build the color that the gene's tell it to have. The haircolor gets layed down and desposited into new hair growth and we get older and become children our hair gets darker. I hope I helped! Also, a lot of colors and color trends at salons are based on the natural highlights that children have before the color is fully layed down and developed. The goal is to mimmick the youthful color we had as children and appreciate the natural art of haircolor we had in our older years.

Well i was born with black hair and then it was a kind of reddish brown until i was about 4 then it was black and turned more dark brown when i was about 12 and now im 25 and it's still dark brown. My brother had blonde hair until he was about 10 then it turned brown...im always surprised when i look at childhood pics of friends because they usually always had blonde hair and now they have brown! I feel like im the only one who wasn't blonde as a kid lol

many people born with blond hair, end up having brown hair.
Our hair changes three times, by the time, we are twelve or
thirteen years old, at that time is about the color it will always
be,unless you decide to change the color, to one you like better.

Enviromental effects such as the sun can cause your "darker hair genes" to be "turned on". It could be also harsh hair products.
