I live in Southern California and will be replacing our windows which are original from 1972. There are so many different kinds out there and they all have their selling points. Any thoughts on what the best one maybe?

Simonton windows are the best by far! I install windows for a living and rarely have a call back on these windows.

We replaced previous aluminum homestead windows with extremely nice vinyl double hung homestead windows, and not in any respect regretted it. those they make now are magnificent and far extra low priced - so i'd advise, do merely not imagine too a lot about it because you do not extremely have a call, and bypass for the most suitable high quality vinyls you may arise with the money for. you may also get ones which have adjustments on the white - cream and/or putty colored were our selections, with the exception of white. We went for the white ones, and they appeared sparkling, tidy, and pristine - and that become after 5 years. once you bypass to resell, i imagine people understand the price of timber homestead windows, and easily would desire the low-upkeep of vinyl...that is a fantastic promoting element easily.
