It is guaranteed that humans will become extinct. All species do. Whether this will be as a result of global warming or some other cause is unknown, our species will eventually come to an end.

Good question!
actually, with such fast advances in technology today, there might be a way to "reverse" global warming. However, we do not know what is going to happen, and we become extinct due to global warming. Yet, you must also consider other factors, include asteroids (sp?), major earthquakes, famine, diseases and virus spreading, war, and so many other things that could happen for us to become extinct! So make sure that you don't think that were only going to become extinct by global warming!
However, i do believe that humans won't die as easily as animals.
On the flip sides, theoretically speaking, humans will one day become extinct.

Hope this helps!

At some point, all life will end on the earth. This will probably be billions of years from now, when the sun starts entering its old age and makes conditions on the earth completely inhospitable to life.
Long before that, humans will either become extinct, or evolve into something that doesn't resemble our current definition of humans.
But not because of global warming. We'll survive the current warm up period and the next ice age and the next warm period, as we have for hundreds of thousands of years.

Not at the rate it is growing now. Also, humans won't become extinct due to Global Warming.

Any species could become extinct. However, humans are so intelligent that the possiblity that we would figure out a way to adapt is good. I think the biggest risk to human extinction would be something that happened quickly and had a very high kill rate.

Yes. It will happen on June 18, 2042.
Seriously, humans will one day be extinct. If not from our own doing, then nature will see to it. If not nature, than the sun will eventually burn out and engulf the Earth.
I bet we do it to ourselves. Either nukes, pollution, bio-war or something worse than AIDS.

We may manage to kill ourselves off eventually. Global warming isn't going to be the cause though, that's all scare tactics and not based in reality.

99.9% of all species that have existed on this planet are extinct. Most certainly that is our fate at sometime in the future. If we keep poisoning our environment that time could be soon.

no,
we are splicing our genes all over the place. There is even rice with human genes. Rice can survive nukes, floods, earthquakes, wars, and tsunamis. Just look at Japan
