What colour is your hair now?
Black-dark brown?- Be very very careful. This is not a simple 1 step process. You will need to have it done professionally as getting to white is complex and trying it yourself will almost surely lead to tears. Firstly your hair will have to be lifted to the lightest it will go probably using a bleach. This will have to be a good one and a mild one (i recommend Wella or Loreal salon paste bleach) because this will damage your hair quite a lot. The aim is to first remove as much yellow as possible before attempting to go white. There are then a number of choices to make as to what to add next to get to white all depending on how yellow it is at this stage. My point is that all these products will be used with peroxide and they will all do damage so to get to white is something only a good, experienced stylist should attempt.
If you are blonde then this is not so stressful on the hair but still should be done professionally as there are greens to be avoided and again these chemicals have the ability to burn off your scalp and hair.
Sounds like i'm trying to put you off? No, just please get it done in a decent salon.
Good luck.

Have it done professionally- getting to totally white is quite tricky.
That is what I have & it took 3 different stylists to get it just right.
