Mossberg 835 Ultimag, for $250 you might have to get a used one, but for $350 I'm pretty sure you could find a new one. Same for the 500 Super Bantam Turkey model.

Around $250 for a Mossberg Model 500. But if you seriously want to turkey hunt you will spend around $300 on a Mossberg Model 835 Ulti-Mag. It will shoot 3.5 inch magnum shells and its overbored, ported and has interchangeable chokes.

I also recommend you pick up an "extra full" choke for whatever gun you pick up.

Good luck turkey hunting.

Remington 870 express special purpose turkey (spt) Comes with an extra full choke. Great gun w/ a 21" barrel & two beads.$ 250 to$300. If you had to pick one. But go to a sporting goods store & check out all the guns you can . You WILL fall in love with one or an other .

i would get a simple mossberg pump action 12 guage, the 20 guage is a good gun also but the 12 guage has more power and range, a 10 guage isnt really worth it because it has only a little more range than a 12 guage and has a lot more recoil. this 12 guage should cost u around 230-250 with everything included in that price. This will also come with a full, modified, and cylindered choke.

Remington SPR 220 Cowboy 12 G Shotgun. They are under $300. In many states you are limited to a 2-shot capacity so a hinge action like this one might be your best bet for hunting.

I personally don't like Mossbergs, they kick like mules. Get a Remington. I have an old 16 gauge single shot Stevens that has waxed more turkeys than some 'pros' with their $1200 guns.

If you are keeping the budget low look at the offerings from mossberg or some of the imported shotguns.

Any 12-bore single-shot will do, and if you want you can get a used pump gun and still stay under budget easily. Just make sure you have a full choke.
