Has anyone heard of facility in the Los Angeles area where you take a 1 to 3 day course and you earn your high school diploma? and they charge you about $300 dollars. Are these rip off people or are these legit diplomas.

I believe these "facilities" are called diploma mills, and it's a scam. It can easily be researched on the web, and I'm sure there will be some comments on the school. I would research the school first before signing up for it.
There is no way you can get a real H.S diploma in 1-3 days for 300.00. This sounds like a diploma mill to me. Best of luck!

Typically the scammed figure out the diploma is a fake when they go in for a job. I've read that some people have actually been arrested when they attempt to use quick diplomas.

Any home study course the school should be accredited through your state of residence and is nationally recognized. Most places don't give out high school diplomas in that length of time and if they're charging $300 it's a crock. Most junior and community colleges have GED programs that are approved and accredited by the state board of education and you get your diploma in about 6-8 months. A legit program is accredited and approved by the state.

rip off.
You know how it goes, "if something sounds too good or too easy to be true, it probably is"
Now, you can probably get a GED quickly, just depends on how quick you are in preparing and getting the exam taken.
But an actual diploma usually requires credit hours, and those credit hours represent work. And time. Doesn't mean it has to be 4 yrs. to complete 22-24 credit hours. But it does mean you actually completed those credits.

I haven't heard of this, but check into accreditation. If it is not accredited, this is a scam. I would personally guess that, w/o any research into it, this is a scam because you do not have to do the work to show that you deserve the diploma.

If you want a quick fix, take the GED. That is a rip off.
