I found alternative care with the daycare in my corporate office. My concern is after spending 2-3 weeks in the daycare at my office around lots of children, will it negatively impact my 21 month old daughter to put her back in the in-home daycare that only has 2 other kids her age? Should I just keep her in the daycare at my office if she does really well there? Your experienced opinions please. Thanks!

I'd stick her in the daycare at your office until her usual daycare lady is able to have her return. She's already familiar with the lady at the in home daycare, so I don't think there would be any problems going back to her. Kids at her age are very adaptable anyway and can easily fit in just about anywhere. If there is a problem that arises later on, then you'll know it and can decide from there what you should do. Put your child where you think is best for her. I've always been told that your first instinct is most often the best!

Good luck.

Lucky for you, kids adapt to changes really well. See where your daughter does best and stick with that. There are pros and cons to both. On one hand, she may be better off with other kids so that she learns social skills before kindergarden. On the other hand, a daycare lady will provide her with more attention which is crucial for the developing years of a human being.......good luck!

My daughter was about the same age when I placed her in a daycare center and she BLOSSOMED socially. She learned to share, to wait her turn AND was potty trained in about 2 weeks. I think that she's at a good age to start interacting with other kids her age....you don't want to wait until she starts school....too much of a shock.

i reckon it depends on how well your daughter takes to be with other children, it can be good for children to socialise at an early age, gets them use to interacting with other people and also gets them used to sharing as well. also think of the convinience having your daughter in the same building as you, if anything was to go wrong you dont have the worry of rushing far to get to your child....see how she gets on...good luck

Children like stability and routine, so I would leave her where she is used to being.
