It is gross, I really do not need to see all of the blood and guts, personally. I just about barf at some of the stuff on the CSI shows, yuck!!

I am not a kid either, I am 45 and I find the gratuitous gore a bit too much.

Nothing. People get up in arms about this, but a couple hundred years ago, "family entertainment" would have been going to a public execution. Seeing it in the media is at least a little more civilized, and I think it's better that kids see it and know about it than that we hide everything from them to "protect" them.

The media is censored any way you only see what they want you to see anyway and hey whats a little blood? I think that if you can look at the news and people getting killed all while eating your "family dinner" then wy not look at blood to.

People associate blood with pain and peopl fear pain and people hate what they fear. Oh and the "people" who complain about these things in the media either have "social blinders" on or they have kids and don't want to take the time ot explain the hard truth of reality to their children. I guess that's a bit harsh, but it's my opinion.

People seem to think that violence alone breeds anti-social and violent behaviour. Many refuse to admit that choice plays a good part into the decisions we make, and that the blood/gore in television or movies is just the final nail in the coffin.

Notice that no one will attempt to insinuate that someone who hunts deer for sport are promoting violence, even though you need to literally need to disembowel the animal once its dead.

People are too sheltered today. a thousand years ago all people of all ages would have up close and personal experience with blood. If it wasn't from killing or seeing someone be killed in a war or raid it would have been when you slaughtered your animals for dinner.

People generally just don't like seeing blood. I know I don't. It makes a lot of people queasy. It's enough for me to hear what happened, I don't need to see it.

Blood implies violence of some kind or of someone being hurt. Its common place now to see it on TV

People don't like to see most body fluids in films or TV, i.e., vomit, poop, etc. We don't like to see our own let alone another persons.
