My biggest one is people cutting in line.
I was at McD's the other night...i had gone thru the drive thru and they messed up my order. I was already irritated but i parked the car, unloaded my kids and went in...there was a lady ordering, a man behind her then me...after a minute another man walked in and we were all standing in a loose line. Well the worker was like "i can help who's next" and the punk who came in after me walked up to the counter and proceeded to place his order. I said "um...okay" loud enough for him to hear and he was like "oh were you in line" so i told him to just go ahead because obviously his time was more valuable than mine and he had the nerver to tell me to have respect for my elders and that i "being a young girl" should have let him go first! so the manager heard all this and she told me to control my temper or i was going to have to leave! so i had to explain to her that my irritation came from her screwing up my order...
so that's my peeve, what your

My pet peeve is acceptance of poor service and attitude from others when it is questioned!

I think the word "Service" has left the service businesses and individuals with poor attitudes have filled the positions to make the service worse.

Peeves, in no particular order:
1. At a recent visit to a video store - one in a large, nationwide chain - with my children, my three year old had to use the bathroom. The stupid clerk would not let us use the bathroom there. I protested, stating that we had indeed used it before in a visit before. Too bad was her reply. My daughter did not make it to the grocery store across the street. I was pissed, no pun intended.
2. People who wait to start filling out a check after all the groceries have been bagged and put into their card. NOW? They had eight minutes to do this!
3. Tailgaters. If I get tailgated, I will deliberately go exactly the speed limit.
4. Waitstaff who ask "How does everything TASTE?" They don't ask "How is everything, can I get something for you?" Now they sit down next to you and act chummy, then ask how everything TASTES. They obviously don't give a cr*p what their service is like.
5. I live in a state that borders Canada. I hate getting Canadian coins for change!

By far, my biggest pet peeve happens while driving. I hate it when people talk on their cell phones while driving (these are often the people who can't keep a steady speed on the highway, don't use their turn signals, etc.) I know EVERYONE talks on their cell phones while they drive, but I don't like it....it tunes out part of your brain from paying attention to your driving. I think I'm pretty much alone on this pet peeve, but whatever. When you drive you owe it to the other people on the road to be as careful as possible at ALL times!!!!

Mine is when people pass on the right on a highway... I mean the far right lane; or when a car passes me, gets over in front of me and then immediately makes a right turn and I have to break hard for that jerk.

You know what, I think people in general are my pet peeve.

Nice work!

McDonald's is full of unpleasant surprises. This isn't the only bad report that I have heard from there. It is supposed to be "our kind of place". It is supposed to be a family place, with fries, toys, prizes, fun characters, desserts and non-smoking dining for everyone to enjoy and feel comfortable.

But, if you look around...all kinds of red flags. My pet peeves are employees who don't take the work ethic serious enough and just work at their own speed, refuse to learn customer service principles, English language, personal hygiene and how to apologize for errors...such as the one that you experienced.

Has McDonald's service gone down the tubes, just because the food at Burger King is no longer a competitor to them?

My biggest pet peeve is people who can't multi task and get mad at me because i can. This has happened at many jobs, like holding a conversation and typing an email. Just because I'm not looking at you doesn't mean I'm not following the conversation.

Also, people who get annoyed when I drive and talk. I can do this safely, please leave me alone.

After that it's people who are dumb. It drives me crazy.

Wow. Was this an old guy? One of my biggest pet peeves is old people who think their age gives them a right to treat other people like crap.
