I don't think anyone has the right to answer your question becuase possible no one is a certified doctor. So please visit a doctor, becuase your heartbeat shouldn't be anything but normal.

Skipping a beat every 3 or 4 beats might be worth having the doctor check out. However, I read that everyones heart skips a beat every once in awhile because the electrical timing system isn't perfect. Similar to needing a leap year in the calender to compensate for its imperfection. Also, stress, caffeine, and anxiety can all cause a heart to skip a beat. Most people don't even know their heart has skipped a beat.

I have that sometimes. Especially when I drink a lot of caffiene or eat a lot of chocolate. It could be a number of different things. If you experience shortness of breath, dizziness, pain in your arms, go to the doctor. I had it all the time when I was pregnant with my daughter, I had an EKG, everything was fine, it just fluttered every minute or so. I also noticed I was dyhadrated. I uped my water( and my electrolites were low also) It went away after I had my daughter. They said that if I was already experiencing it before I was preg., that I was more prone to it.
Good Luck!

This is not unusal in some people.
Not all hearts are the same.
Some people have a heart that will
suddenly take off racing.

Not all pulses run the same.
Example: my pulse is so slow,
it fouls up the blood pressure
machines. It runs 2 beats and
a 1/2 beat. So, the doctor winds
up taking my pulse by hand.

You should get it checked out.

It could be a complete harmless arrythmia for no known reason.
It could be a reaction to caffeine, etc, or an interaction with a medication or herbal supplement that you take. Or, it could be an early sign of a significant heart rhythmn problem that could be harmful in future. It can also be a side effect of other medical problems, such as hyperthyroidism or an electrolyte imbalance.

With your heart, it's not worth taking chances.

Your heart is a precious organ. Last time I saw my heartbeat on a screen, it was very regular, no skipping at all. In your position, I'd check whether I was imagining it. If not, I'd see a doctor.
