Yes, I have, several times - but I have no idea what point you are trying to make about science.
rhsaunders has said it all "The god portrayed there is about as evil a monstrosity as one might imagine"

Yes, I've read the book of Job. Now, return the favor and read "A Short History of Almost Everything" by Bill Bryson, or "Why God Won't Go Away" by Andrew Newberg.
When you've finished reading either of those, come back and discuss what you've learned.

Yes, it was one of the texts that convinced me (a Christian at the time) that some understandings of a perfect, inspired, bible were simply untenable.
Satan popping up to heaven for a "chat" with God...For starters.
Never mind the sons and daughters wiped out not for any sin of theirs or Job's but just to make a point, or run an experiment.
Do they call that "collateral damage", these days?

On more than one occasion. Although I'm not an atheist, I'm no longer a Christian....and the book of Job is one of the main reasons why.
If the Biblical god would do all that to someone he supposedly loved, who allegedly never did anything bad - what would the Biblical god do to someone like me? With friends like that, who needs enemies?

Do you have any examples, or are you just hoping that no-one will question this rather specious claim?
Wasn't Job the guy who hung around with God even after doing so cost him his entire family save one, all of his property, and his health? Is that what passes for "insight" these days?

No, but I saw the play by Neil Simon, God's Favorite. Does that count? It was a college production, if that matters....

It's not the one that says space is big, and there are currents in the sea is it? Now, that's what I call mindblowing.

If I want to read fiction, I'll read something better than a old book that claims to be not fiction.

Yes, it's one of my favorite fairy tales in the whole book.
god allows job's 5000 she mules, his children etc. to be murdered.
BTW- Don't you love that I can't even use the words she-Asses on Y/A because it would be censored.
