No ,if the Atheists were in control ,EVERYONE would be aided when they needed help .
Laws would be enacted for the people not the religious lobbyists .
There also would be no upper levels of religion because religion would not have any importance over human beings rights and needs .

No, but there is a secret society of religious folks bribing politicians to keep their interests open. They like to keep people a little poor, with inadequate education, because they have proved that these folks will be more gullible. a good poor uneducated class also provides cheap labour for the big industrialists, folks to do the dirty jobs.
Of course they also use migrant workers and refugees - the arms industry provides lots of these as a by product to the wars they maintain.
