Should girls wear make-up or not?

Question

We truly do live in a material world and many, many girl today wear make-up to enhance their beauty but for some isn't it faking who they are? Isn't it called "make-up" for a reason? I would like guys and girls opinion on this. Is it more attractive to wear make up or not? Make up is good as well because it shows that a girl takes care of herself and beauty is important, let's face it 50% of first impressions on people is form appearance.

good question. personally i prefer the "natural look". meaning, it looks like she isnt wearing makeup or doesnt need it. i do not like to feel lipstick on my lips after a kiss and i dont like blush or powder on my lips after kissing her on the cheeks or face. i dont mind if she has minor black eyeliner to barely trace her eyes and her eyelashes look good. i dont really think a woman needs makeup, she usually looks good in her natural skin tone whether its pale white to dark chocolate or somewhere in between. i think if she smells good (good hygiene) and she feels good about herself (good health) then it goes a long way =)

I believe that makeup doesn't create beauty; it enhances it. A major part of first impressions is a neat, clean appearance. Wearing a subtle amount of makeup lets guys know that you care about yourself enough to take a few minutes and freshen up every morning. However, makeup can be taken too far, and the thing guys hate most is a big ol foundation smear across their shirt after a hug. EWWWW!!

I would have to start out by saying that physical appearance is much greater than 50% of first impressions, and second makeup was a great invention because it allows some of us to look at some otherwise very ugly women. But if a woman is naturally beautiful then makeup is not neccessary. If it wasn't for makeup, men would be drunk all the time.

you are you the way you are, honestly i don't wear any more than mineral powder. if you are obsessed with how you look then that will show in how much makeup you put on. i would say just enough to hide any blemishes or to cover the lack of beauty sleep.

Make up is a way to express yourself. Weather or not girls should wear it is questionable. I think its fine to wear make up as long as you know who you are and are comfortable with yourself without it on. Some girls use make up as a way to cover up who they are. I think it depends on age and weather or not its what you want. I'm all for make up I wear it just about everyday. It does highlight your face and make you more attractive. Think about it make up is what many people in media wear it does make them more attractive. Then if you were to see them without it.

i think that females wear makeup because they dont think they are pretty. and how real are you being if you meet someone for the first time and they think you are the most beautiful person in the world with makeup but when they see what you really look like and you are hideous.

Well, I've never been into wearing makeup. I never wear it to work and only wear a little if I go out for a special occasion. My bf likes me w/out it . . . BTW it ages your skin so I'd be careful how much I was willing to put on!

absolutely not. Its not about all what u look like, a godess, or w/e. Nobody will like u if u just look good, you need people to get to konw the real u, not just a person that looks good behind a mask

Some people feel more secure if they're wearing make up. Less vulnerable sort of thing. So i think each to their own.
