I don't cut that often, only when I need to feel the sting of relief. After I cut I feel like I can finally breath as if I had been holding by breath all day.

I used to hurt myself for relief. Everyone says it's so bad, but they've never done it. I know where you're coming from because I used to be the same way, but it's best if you can find another way to deal with. You have to live with your body for the rest of your life, it's the best idea to treat it well, and plus you won't want to have all those scars later on.

Socially unexceptable
Possible to get locked up as a nut case

Try chiropractor, massage therapist and principles in book (bottom)

Much pain is from muscles below is an example of what may help (based on headaches).
Begin with a couple swigs of molasses or a couple of bananas (natural muscle relaxers) daily - magnesium (which regulates many things in the body) and potassium (a needed building block for muscles).
Drink at least 1/2 gallons of water per day. Running a body low on water is like running a car low on oil is the analogy the head of neurology at UCDavis told my husband about 10 years ago.

Now to the cause - muscles - your back, neck shoulders and head have tender spots. They are knots in the fibers of the muscles called trigger points. It makes the muscles tight which makes them press on nerves and other things causing the pain.

The cure - start with a professional massage, you will also want to go back over any place you can get to 6-12 times per session up to 6 times per day rubbing (or lightly scratching on your head) every where that is tender until the knots go away. The place where the skull connects to the spine press up under the edge of the skull (to get to those muscles).

For more information read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies. It teaches what to do and where the pain comes from.

Self-mutilation is not a sign of good mental health. That doesn't mean that you're a bad person or even that you're experiencing bad mental health now.

Don't be limited to just good and bad. Simple-minded people like to push that kind of thinking on you. ;-)

You may feel like you're in control now, but you should consider professional guidance and get help before things slide downhill so far that you can't get back up.

Sweety I hate to say it but yes it's a problem ... even if it's the way you feel relief. I hooe you go to someone you trust and talk to them about this ... and get some help ... there's no reason why you should feel this way and face it alone.

The percentage of tax taken from the wealthier taxpayer is much higher. The amount he pays is a lot higher. Naturally, the amount of the break would be higher. Perhaps an analogy. If a court fined me $100 and fined you $1,000 only to realize that they had over charged us by 10%, I would receive a refund of $10 but you would receive a refund of $100. Am I to conclude that that is somehow unfair because your refund was higher? *

No its not wrong, you should NOT feel ashamed.

Its just something you do-- other people smoke, drink, p[arty their frustrations or sorrows away. You cut instead. No difference. Just the others are more "socially accepted" and "popular" methods of relief.

But it is something to consider reading about- may I recommend the book "Women who hurt themselves"
Very short, simple and HELPFUL book, so you can keep your skin looking good and have no scars to hide.

STOP! DONT KEEP ON CUTTING YOURSELF!! I had a friend who was cutting herself and she was in the hospital for 2 months trying to get blood back into her body. You really need to stop. My friend almost died because of it. Cutting yourself isn't the answer. Talk to someone about what your feeling instead of inflicting pain to your body. Its not worth it.
