Start buying NOW!!! There is so much you can get in advance.
DON'T bring the pram into the house though (if you are of a superstitious nature) store that at your mum's or a friend's house. A lot of nursery shops allow you to select the big items (pram/cot/car seat) and pay it up over a few months and collect nearer your due date.
You can always be picking up little vests and babygrows etc as you go along and the toiletries and nappies NEVER go wrong. Next time you are in the supermarket and they have baby items on BOGOF take them! You will use them. Trust me.
You don't know wha size your baby is going to be. If you are buying clothes and nappies don't just buy the tiny sizes. It is amazing how quickly they grow out of them. Buy a selection of sizes from newborn, 0-3 months and 3-6 months.
Word of caution - although you have been told what sex your baby is, they have been known to get it wrong. Our local hospital has stopped telling people what sex their baby is cos they got it wrong so many times and received so many complaints!!
Congratulations and good luck! x

I would start shopping now for the baby, just buying all essential stuff, but i wouldn't buy any blue stuff as i was told i was having a little girl on 3 scans i had , but the little girl i was meant to have turned out to be a little boy, and i had bought all pink so i had to take all my pink stuff back which was a ball ache just after having a baby.so with my second child i bought yellow and white stuff, and i had a baby boy then too, Good luck with the rest of the pregnancy.

You should start shopping as soon as you want to, but I say start looking around the shops now. It's amazing how long it takes to make all the decisions, have the stuff delivered, figure out how to use it etc. And you don't want to be trapsing around the shops when you are very pregnant because it's really tiring. I am 7.5 months pregnant and already have almost everything, and I'm glad I do because I already find more than an hour walking around the shops very tiring and too much!

Now is a good time to start. You only have about 3 months left, and some babies come early. You won't feel much like shopping in another 2 months' time.

I'd be wary of getting to much specifically boy/girl clothing. When my kid arrived it turned out i'd had the wrong prognosis.
Before it gets to difficult, but you can always shop on the internet. To be on the safe side (for things like cot etc) at least a month before-hand.

before i knew what it was i would buy stuff that didnt matter if it was pink or blue in color such as crib, bassinet, car seat, stroller, diapers, swing after i found out what it was i spend 10.00-20.00 a week to buy things that i didnt buy before such as clothes because i wanted pink i didnt want green and yellow.i wouldnt wait until the last minute that be lot to spend at once i goin tell you a little secret that i learned when you buy clothes my baby was 8.7 ounces and i bought 0-3 in winter clothes because i thought she would be able wear them right after she was born because they told me that she was going to be big baby she was wearing premie until she was 5 months old before she started wearing 0-3 and then some of them was too big so also look at how big they are when you buy them dont always go buy size

it is never to early to start buying things for the baby, there are a lot of things he or he will need. Start now so all those expenses dont hit you at once.
