If you crack open a peach stone inside is a small nut which if tasted has the taste of an almond, that is because it is a "brother" to the almond tree,I surpose if you were to eat enough of these you may make your self ill,but why some one would want to do this i shall never know, much rather eat the fruit and grow the stone.

I have eaten the kernels of peach & plum stones (in very small quantities) & they are a bit like almonds. Apparently they do contain prussic acid (as do apple pips I believe) so I wouldn't eat more than one or two. I think amaretto biscuits may be made from apricot kernels as well as almonds (or were at one time)

no they aren't, only the almonds that are bitter but you need to eat a lot of them before you manage to poison yourself, also with the prices of peaches is more likely you run out of money than poisoning yourself
