ok i had your prob too!! first make sure you use a ceramic plated flat iron!! totally works!! then it doesnt matter if you blow dry or not...but dont do it when its wet!!! it will make split ends and ruin your hair!! but it normally works best if you blow dry your hair before straighting it!!! okidoki!! i hope this helps!! good luck!! lataz <3

you cant flat iron it soaking wet dear, you either break the flatiron
or at the very least burn your hair up pretty good, that kind of damamge is hard to fix, you'll have to cut it off.
ecspecially with african american hair. My hair actually looks just like my avatar, so i have to iron it olmost everyday.
i feel your pain.

If you don't have a flat iron that is made for wet hair you will fry your hair.

It is only bad if you dont have a ceramic board on your flat iron. you should look into getting one.. depending how often you use it.. ceramic straighteners keep you hair from burning too.

As long as it is completely dry you should be fine. I would suggest spraying your hair with a heat protector before you straighten it
