Wow! That's a tough question. Every dog is special and unique. From the tiny ones to the huge ones. I've known dogs from Chihuahuas and St. Bernards and everything in between. The perfect dog is the dog you love with all your heart, YOUR DOG. When it comes to loving your dog, size DOESN'T matter.

LARGE. Because if i dont have to bend down to pat it, or lift it up onto the lounge or into the car, or worry when i walk it about other dogs, or wash it in a sink, or worry about the kids hurting it, or watch where i am walking, or watch its diet coz just a little too much food each day will make it fat. Yes i am lazy, but i love walking out into my backyard, have my dogs walking beside me and i can lay my hands on their heads and backs as i go. I love being able to touch my dogs as i walk. Its a comfort thing for me and them, and any other large dog owner does the same, i bet.I also love rolling around on the ground playing rough with my dogs(undignified i know). Having a large dog just means a larger pooper scooper(snow shovel). I have 2 doberman b*tches, one bull arab male(213lbs), one boy lab cross and my only small dog a springer spaniel b*tch(she thinks she is bigger than the rest). My perfect dog is the dobe, little grooming needed, good looking, average excercise needs, good family dog, easy to train, health problems negligable if bred properly, perfect personality for me, perfect size for me and just gorgeous. Beautiful animals when at attention and slightly goofy when not.

I love big dogs cause you can ruff house with them and play with, then i like the little dogs to carry around and sit on your lap, but ive never owned a lap dog.

The perfect dog in my opinion is a German Shepherd. They are large, but they will always remain sweet and loyal. They are very smart dogs and at the same time, fun to have.

I like big dog and I cannt lie...you other brothers can't deny...when A big dog walks by your face you get...sing it! he he :D
Anyway, um I love Rhodesian Ridgebacks! They are strong, and great for protection\guarding property. And they only bark if there is a reason to. They have sleak and shiny coats and don't shed much unless there is something wrong with the dog. And they only need a bath like once a month, ans they don't have that dog smell to them unless the get really dirty. The perfect house dog! :D

I have two chihuahuas myself, and I love small dogs. I have the short haired breed but my family breeds chihuahuas and so there are all different types available to me if I choose to take them in myself. They are loud and they are very needy but I love them anyway.
