Although I'm usually tired when Igo to bed Idon't get asleep till 2 or 3 in the morning. I don't have anything to worry or stress about, so Iwonder is my body lacking something? I just had blood tests and everything is normal. Any ideas?

I wake at around 8-8.30 in the morning(I work at a night school). I drink only one cup of coffee (1/2 a litre of milk with a shot of espresso) in the morning. And I eat dark chocolate as a snack during daytime.

i doubt that your lacking in anything essential like vitamins. i'm a healthy person too who just had a medical exam with normal results, but i also have insomnia.
try a sleep aid like ambienCR prescription, or simply sleep pills which are over-the-counter.
stay away from caffiene and lots of sugar all day, or just have it in the morning before 10 or 11 am
dont do a lot of exercising and/or eating just before bed
if your taking any medication, vitamins, etc. check to see if they contain anything like caffeine to keep you awake
drink lots of chamomile tea and take a hot shower/bath before bed
only use soft lighting in your bedroom and keep noise level very low before getting ready for bed
read or book, watch tv, or a favorite movie to help calm your nerves and focus your mind until your too tired to stay awake
listen to soft music and make sure your at a comfortable temperature all night to stay asleep
lastly, have a glass of wine! good luck.

Doubt it's the lack of vitamins. If you've ruled out stress.. How about too much caffeine. Chocolate, coffee, tea, soft drinks, diet pills? Or., do you exercise an hr. before bed?

Try making your bedroom as quiet, comfortable, and dark as you can at night.
Dont do any work in your room, keep it like your sleep sanctuary, cover up anything that lights up (alarm clock, phone, thick curtains, Etc.) also, you shouldn't eat or do any activity before going to sleep. dont drink any sweetened or caffeinated beverages.
A vitamin deficiency is rare, and you shouldn't try to diagnose it yourself. You can try taking a multivitamin, but if it works, it would probably be more of a phsychological thing than a physical thing.
i hope that helps.

What you eat or drink can affect your sleep best not to drink coffee after 6 in the evening and try not to eat high energy foods to late a night anything high in sugar can keep you awake

Watch your caffeine intake after 4 pm. No soda, chocolate, coffee, etc. Don't take naps during the day. Warm milk, or a warm bath prior to bedtime.

If you are able to function on 5 to 51/2 hours of sleep and aren't feeling adverse effects .... "GOOD FOR YOU" I did it on 4 hours for many years. Some people don't require as much sleep as others... If you are lethargic and tired.... You may have sleep apathy

Start MAKING yourself get up early. Set the alarm for 7am. This will make you tired MUCH more earlier than 2-3.
