I lost a friend a little over a year ago. I was pretty depressed for awhile. Ayway, that doesn't answer your question.

I found it helpful to write him letters when I started feeling things. I looked up the "stages of grief" just so that I would be aware of what to expect and know that what I was feeling was part of the process.

I got very angry with him, and hurt and confused. Why didn't he call, what if, etc.

I found that when I wrote stuff out, that I understood he thought it was the only option, but I missed him and wished he could have picked up the phone...I had out and out arguing matches with him (I prolly okked like a crazy lade screaming at "no one" but it was in my own home, and I'm ok with that :p)

Hope this helps.

Oh, how awful for you. I have never lost someone that way, but I have suffered the sudden loss of a friend and it was terrible- I imagine that loosing someone to suicide must be much, much worse.

There are no magic words that will make the awful pain stop, but I will offer you this- there will come a day when it will start to be a little easier, and you will start to notice things again that you kind of zone out of in a situation like the one you are facing. Just keep breathing, and crying, and it will get better.

Perhaps this is a good time to accept a kind person's offer to study the bible with you? It can be very comforting.

I am so sorry that you have had to go through this pain, honey. I lost my son to suicide in July 2005. Survivors of suicide suffer in a very different way from other deaths.
There are groups called SOS (suvivors of suicide) all over the US. They are really great groups. Talking to others that have been through the same thing you have, can really help. I go to SOS myself. There are groups in nearly so many cities, you may find one near you. You need to do a search for SOS groups.
There are also groups online that are for specifically people who have lost someone to suicide. I will leave the link to a great one.
Talking to others that have been through it is the best way to get through this. Learning to have a life without your bestfriend, is what you will learn to do.

dont really know what to say bout that but im sure that your friend thought there was no other way for them to go but thats a real shame.Think of all the good times you had together as friends and try to honour the life that they had before they decided that they couldnt go on with it any more. Try to talk to someone openly about how you are feeling at the moment and most of all remember people care about you just like they did for your friend but maybe they couldnt see how upset inside your friend was.

Be Strong. Be Stronger and then be the strongest you can be. Take St. John's Wort for depression or sadness. It does help. Cry when you need to...beat up on a pillow when you are mad at her for leaving you...get out and live...exercising is helpful.

I'm sorry for your loss and please realize that time will heal.
