What you have sounds like a skin tag. These are generally harmless. They are very similar to a mole whereas if you scratch them hard enought, you will pull them away from the skin, causing them to bleed. You should have a dermatologist look at it, because you don't want the area to become infected. Also, if it is bothersome, there is a very simple and quick procedure that the dermatologist can do to remove it and then you never have to worry about it again!
Good Luck!

Moles do bleed like crazy if you scratch them & some of mine have become irritated for no reason. If it has not changed shape or colour then it should be nothing to worry about but you might want to get it removed if it is in a place that rubs on clothing etc as this can cause the irriation. I had one under my bra strap which was always getting sore so I had it cut off. Go to the docs to put your mind at rest.

It probably is just a mole, but if it worries you that much then yes go to see your doctor about it. Don't worry about looking like you are worrying about nothing, because all doctors know that we don't know what nothing is. The fact that you want to get it sorted out is good to know because lots of people just ignore things and it ends up that they shouldnt have done. Get it checked out. Do not ignore it if it worries you.

Most moles are ok and like all skin will itch from time to time. The question is has it changed in any way; ie size, shape, colour, outline or anything? If it has it would be advisable to get it checked out asap. These are known indicators of early skin cancer. Not what you want at all.
So even just for your peace of mind I reccommend you go get it checked out and /or removed.

Just go and get it checked out, any moles that suddenly change in any way should be looked at. Probably nothing, but you will worry less if you go to the drs.
