My ex (of 2 years) and I broke up a few days ago and he called today to have lunch with me. I accepted because somehow I thought he wanted to work things out. I met him at a restaurant and instead of talking about our relationship. We were talking about meaningless things. After about half and hour I asked him that what made him call me and he just said that He just did not want to have lunch alone so I just thought to myself .... OK whatever he is not here for us. But after I left he sent a message telling me thanx 4 making his day with a song that says I'm his everything... what do I do? what is he really feeling?

Who knows but maybe if you were together for that long you should be his everything but after a relationship that long a guy starts to wonder about being single and now he is and maybe is just relaxing but he is thinking about you.Be nice and have luch with him, there is no need to be mean unless you don't wanna see him again.

I dont know how old the two of you are but it sounds as if he is afraid. Maybe he has feelings for you that are stronger than he is used to? When that happens to a guy it makes them feel as if they are loosing there "power" and that can be scary for a man. I would suggest that you give him a little space. He may need to think things threw. Be available for him if he wants to talk, but on the same note try to keep yourself busy, go out with friends, relax have some alone time. With my man that happened and after a few days of having his "play dates" with his boys he came back to me. I remember very well when something like that happened to me and I now know that during that time was when he realized he loved me and that I was "the one" for him for the rest of his life. Just give him space. Guys need that, and for us it's the total opposite and its hard for us to understand, but try too.

Were you really close when you were together? He might be coming to you for support, he might just want you to be there for him or he wants back together, he could really like you or thinks that you've been waiting on him and that he could come back at any time i don't know whats going through his head but hers just a few ideas i hope you figure it all out soon,

Good Luck!

Never mind what's he's really feeling...what are YOU really feeling?

Do you want to get together with him again? Really? REALLY?

If it's really over, if you do not want to be with him anymore, then next time he contacts you, tell him so. "Jack, I'm not sure why you're calling me, I don't really know what you expect from me anymore, but we're over. We had great times and I'm glad for them, but it just isn't going to work for us. There's no use us seeing each other anymore. I wish you luck. Goodbye."

Hang up.
