Scientology as with Islam is not a new religion but a correction/continuation of what has already been set down by previous religions and philosophies.

Both believe man is a spiritual being.
Both believe you help man to raise to greater heights.
Both believe there is a supreme being.
Both talk of the individual doing all he/she can to help others.
Both insist that you help people in need.
