How would someone go about driving out evil spirits in the home?

I am living with my boyfriend who owns his own home. I have been hearing voices, seen things move, and have felt someone watching me. His ex-girlfriends practiced witch craft in the house and I am not sure what to do. We can't even sleep in the house..

All of us have the capability to drive out evil spirits. Here are 3 ways.

1) The easiest way is to command the spirit to leave in the name of Jesus.
2)Ephesians 6:10-20 tells us, "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should"

You don't have any thoughts on your religious beliefs in order for us to answer this. At first I thought you were wiccan, for they do a lot of cleansing of spirits. I was going to search for a spell for you to cast.

But hearing voices and seeing things? I'd go talk to a therapist. Some people are going to get on here and be mean to you and call you crazy. But seriously, consider seeing someone to deal with those issues. It's not healthy. Insomnia only makes it worse.

But if you are Catholic, consider having a priest come and bless the house. Just don't pay one of those people who come and "cast out the demons" charging you $100-300 dollars. Don't fall for a scam rather than just try a medication to deal with hallucinations.

Though it sounds more like a Singles and Dating question--that you have a problem with your boyfriend having a past. You have a past and he has a past. He is with you now and you need to develop confidence in the fact that he is no longer with them.

Houses do have feelings about them though so consider getting your religious organization to have a meeting there. Do whatever your religion does--sprinkle water, spells, pray, whatever. Create new memories instead of dwelling on old ones.

First,

Do you know they are absolutely, "evil" Spirits?
All Spirits are not evil. IMHO- I would try communicating with them. Perhaps they need your help so they can move on...Ask them what they need from you and why they are there. Be firm and direct and compassionate.

If they are in fact negative spirits....Tell them to find their peace and be open and willing to helping them go to Love. Tell them to go to Love Light.

Most importantly, before you do anything Surround yourself with Peace, Love and Light. Shield yourself in Positive energy with a prayer and meditation. Try to remain calm and focused. Tell them that you need to sleep and Peace of Mind. Tell them that they have been disrupting your rest and peace of mind. Ask if there is anything they may need to be put in a more positive state of being.

Remember, if this Spirit(s) were human- they may be confused and not know how to get into a better atmosphere. Some people are blessed with the gift of being able to sense them more than most...Most of the time, They do not mean any harm...They just need assistance moving on because of: tragedy they experienced, ignorance of being "dead" or confusion...

Sometimes just banishing won't help..YMMV


Just think: If you had passed on and were confused..would you try to get attention from someone that you thought could help?

Well, I personally would speak with my bishop and see what he suggests. I am LDS (mormon) and I know someone who thought her son may have been doing some devil-worshipping in her home. He ended up taking his own life, he had problems though - like seeing devilish creatures, hearing things, he hardly slept...it was really sad. She spoke with the bishop, and some of this may sound silly, but he told her to paint all the walls in the house white (some of her sons walls had weird dragons and odd things painted on them), go through and completely clean the house, I mean BIG time clean. Also to throw out anything he had that was in his room - everything. I think the bishop may have also went over and even given the home a Priesthood blessing...I know it sounds weird, but it worked for her.
Once true evil has been let in, it's hard to get out.

Jim K has got it right according to the Holy Bible- but I believe you still need outside help. Maybe trying calling some churches that deal with casting sprits out. I have delt with similar situations and they were solved that way. If you want try this on your lonesome I will tell you what I did (keep in mind that I am a sprit-filled Christian and knowable of the bible. ) First you have to believe God is real and will make this demonic activity leave and then you command the evil sprits to leave. Tell them to leave in the name of Jesus. Then ask for God's angels to surround the house. I lived in a house once that did have haunted -like activity and this is what I did and it worked! It would stop. I did notice it would re- occur sometimes and i would just repeat my actions. If sounds crazy to you then I'm sorry- get some outside help.

DELIVERANCE AND CLEANSING


Demons are fallen angels (Revelation 12:7) and spirits of Nephilim (See Genesis 6 and Numbers 13:33). These beings make up Satan’s spiritual army.

HOW PERSONS CAN BE FREE OF DEMONS

Demons gain the right of way to possess or attach themselves to a person when that person sins. Having evil thoughts are sins too (Matthew 5:28). Authority over ALL evil spirits is given by the Lord Jesus Christ to believers only (Luke 10:19). Believers have authority in Christ to bind demons and cast them out of persons (themselves included) in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, providing all persons involved in the deliverance have repented of their sins. Certain demons are harder to cast out. The persons involved in the deliverance would have to practice Christian Prayer and Fasting in order to cast out these demons.

SIGNS OF A HAUNTED PLACE

• Residents fighting often
• Things moving, malfunctioning for no apparent reason or operating on their own

HOW TO GET RID OF EVIL SPIRITS IN YOUR PROPERTY

Evil spirits pass in and out of homes, apartments, buildings and even churches. On the topic of ghosts, souls of the deceased go on to either Heaven or Hell, so if you encounter an entity that looks or sounds like a soul of a human who has passed, bear in mind that demons can and do masquerade as souls of the deceased. If you are involved in occult practices or other types of sin, demons could possess you, attach themselves to you or be around you. These spirits may be attracted to certain items or symbols in the room or property. If you are saved, the Holy Spirit will let you know what these symbols or items are when you come across them.

If you are not saved, here is a prayer to make Jesus Christ your Lord and Saviour. If you say this prayer sincerely, your sins will be washed away, you will be redeemed to God, be saved from eternal torment, inherit the Kingdom of God and the Lord Jesus Christ will give you authority over Satan and all demons (Luke 10:19).

As a believer, you can get rid of the demons in your property, land or room by yourself or with others who are saved by saying a prayer in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is better if you pray with other Christians because the Lord Jesus promises to be in the presence of two or more believers gathered in His name (Matthew 18:20). Before you pray, you need to do two things. First, identify any cursed items or symbols in the property or land and destroy or anoint them accordingly. Occultic items (such as Ouija boards, witchcraft books and tools, books and other media that are against Christianity, tarot cards, crystal balls, fetishes and occultic jewelry) and occultic symbols must be destroyed. Such symbols must be erased, removed or painted over, and occultic items must be smashed or burnt. For a cursed item that is not of the occult (an item that was cursed by a witch), you can anoint it, break the curse off of it and bless it in Jesus’ name. The second thing you need to do is use virgin olive oil that has been blessed (by a Christian) to anoint yourself and the person/s praying with you, other Christian residents and pets. We ask You Lord Jesus to deal with any demons or astral travelers who are refusing to leave. We pray against counter attacks, retaliation and revenge of evil spirits. We claim Isaiah 54:17 and declare that ‘No weapon formed against us shall prosper’. We thank You Father God for all angels assigned to us and ask that You would dispatch them at Your discretion.

If in the future you experience demonic activity in the home, tell the evil spirit/s with faith, "I command you to leave now in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!"
