i bet that half of you don't even know to the full extent what evolution is. There is much left unspoken, and as for scientist not making it up.

Just because your religion requires you to be ignorant, that does not mean that everybody in the world also has to be ignorant.
Lets say you abolish evolution from the schools. Next you would have to abolish a lot of biology because it backs up evolution. Next you would have to drop all talk of extinct creatures because that would lead to evolutionary science. I guess DNA has to go out the window too because it is being used to back up evolution. Geology, well that conflicts with the 6000 year old earth and a lot of the stuff in Genesis so off with its head. Astronomy. Well it does say that the earth is round and that the earth moves thru space and that the earth goes around the sun and that the earth is not the center of the universe. I guess that is out as well.
If you let religion rule over science then science is gone and we are back in the dark ages.

Evolution is scientific and verifiable. Why teach relativity, or gravity? Science has a way of adapting and its not about being 100% correct its about making the decision to strive for the answer. Right now evolution appears to be the way things happened, if another theory comes along that disproves that then science will gladly change.

We should teach science in science classes and religion in religion classes. Since evolution is an essential element of biological science, students should not be deprived of a full education because of the personal biblical interpretations of a small group of fundamentalists. If a religious group believes the word is flat, should we stop teaching that it is round??

Because evolution IS science? Maybe? Because the theory of evolution has gone through the peer-review process, has withstood thorough scientific testing, correlates with all avaliable evidence?
Because Creationism is completely unscientific? Because it starts with an assumption and works backwards? Because it conveniently discards all evidence which doesn't fit in? Because Creationists frequently distort facts?
Good enough reasons?
If you want to try and prove creationism email me, I'm always up for a laugh.

Are you still here? Hit those books!
The reason not to teach religion in school is contained in your question itself. Did you notice that you didn't identify WHICH religion you're talking about? Yes, yes, I know, it should be the "true" religion. (I mean, how are we going to teach ALL religions.)
But let me take a wild guess.... YOUR religion is the "true" religion, right? How silly of me. I mean who cares about those other heretics out there who think you're full of it. Imagine them thinking that THEIR religion is correct. The gall!
By the way, why would it be that at least one religion, THE LARGEST CHRISTIAN DENOMINATION, has no problem teaching "evolution" in their schools. (Yeah, right, they're not the "true" religion ....)
And I'm still of the opinion that you should get at least a couple of high-school credits in biology before you continue this rant.

Because evolution is good science.
The fact that you can call people names doesn't change that fact. I'd think that would be obvious. Science doesn't progress through childish name-calling - it relies on accumulation of evidence.

I'm a Christian and I think science should be taught in schools. Why does everyone think that Christians don't like or believe in science? We're not all creationalists, you know. Science and the bible coincide beautifully together despite what the creationists say.

Religion is defined as 'a human made system to worship a divine/supernatural being.'
Evolution does not fall into that category.
