so i can't go by body language, how often he wants to see me etc, only by what he says on the phone and msn..how do I know if he really loves me or not?

I knew my boyfriend (now hubby) loved me. He showed me through action.
He traveled 1300 miles, by Greyhound Bus, 4 different buses, 36 hour, one-way trips to come visit me. Risking losing his luggage (they lost it 2x; the second time it was stolen), risking humiliation (the bus driver would totally forget about him at rest stops [a/k/a potty & food breaks]), risking muggings (happened 1x, while he was alone on the bus during a break an individual came on board to steal items, and he grabbed Patrick's wallet case, but he failed to get it), risking being left at a station if he WAS able to get a break (they only give you so many minutes, then they set out).
He did all of those things to meet me, a gal in Texas he had only talked to over the phone and yahoo messenger. And this was after only talking for 2 months. He visited me Oct, Dec, then February. After the Feb trip, he said he was moving to Texas. He did come in July (this time I convinced him to fly). Married him this past Valentines Day - a yr and half after his move.
What made this so different? Well, Patrick is a paraplegic, stroke victim 100% disabled, wheelchair dependent, and he traveled alone, totally vulnerable to come see me. If that isn't love, then what is it?

The truth is most people lie on the web / phone etc. Because there is no body language an no context, you have no means to establish the truth of their statements.

He will ask you how are you atleast 20 times a day. Will spend all night chatting to you on MSN even though he got his final exams. Yeh then you can say he loves you.
