It's called being a CON ARTIST!
But so many people are afraid to question religious figures. Absurd!
In my family...we have a personal connection to the Catholic sexual abuse accusations.
WE must ALWAYS question authority.

I am very turned off by tv evangelists. Most seem to be full of themselves, always pumping for money and proud. The best place to learn about God and Jesus is by reading your Bible, then find a church that believes the Bible is the inerrant word of God, that Jesus is God who died to pay for your sins and rose again. If you are a shut in, then "attending church" on tv is your only option. Otherwise, go out and find a solid church preaching the unaltered word of God in the Bible.

If you send money to them, you have a problem.
When you hear money.
A bell should go off in your head, warning warning.
They are after your money.
The peddlers of the word.
2 Cor 2:17 For we are not like many, peddling the word of God, but as from sincerity, but as from God, we speak in Christ in the sight of God.

That is why I don't listen to them. Most of them are in it for the money. Even if they have important things to say, they seem more interested in their own agenda, which is why I don't recommend supporting them. They also act like salvation is like a flu shot, say these magic words and everything will be okay. What a lie.

Yes, it seems that way to me, too. I think most tv evangelists have left their first love, so to speak, are off the mark. I think greed has lead them down a wrong path. And the greed is disquised as the "prosperity message".

Do people still watch tv evangelists?
How many scandals do we have to have before people realize they're all a bunch of yahoos working for the next collection?

I believe that 95% of all TV Evangelists are full of it... That's why you have to test the spirit... how many times do they say Jesus Christ or use scripture out of the Bible. Most of them talk about what they can do for you... but what people really need to hear is what Jesus Christ has done for us.

9Â But he spoke this illustration also to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous and who considered the rest as nothing: 10Â “Two men went up into the temple to pray, the one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11Â The Pharisee stood and began to pray these things to himself, ‘O God, I thank you I am not as the rest of men, extortioners, unrighteous, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. 12Â I fast twice a week, I give the tenth of all things I acquire.’ 13Â But the tax collector standing at a distance was not willing even to raise his eyes heavenward, but kept beating his breast, saying, ‘O God, be gracious to me a sinner.’ 14Â I tell YOU, This man went down to his home proved more righteous than that man; because everyone that exalts himself will be humiliated, but he that humbles himself will be exalted.”
15Â Now people began to bring him also their infants for him to touch these; but on seeing it the disciples began to reprimand them. 16Â However, Jesus called the [infants] to him, saying: “Let the young children come to me, and do not try to stop them. For the kingdom of God belongs to suchlike ones. 17Â Truly I say to YOU, Whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a young child will by no means get into it.”

I am a Christian and I don't want to judge them but I do believe that some aren't teaching the true Word of God. Beware of false teachers.

It's human nature to want all the glory and they are being recognized for something. Some of them really do let it go to their heads. In thier situation they are really forced to act so moral! agghh! I would go nuts do you or do you not find yourself holding these people to a higher standard? Maybe the feel they have to overcompensate....
