For DC, it depends on when you go....right now there aren't many b/c its too cold!!! The summer is a different answer though...the humidity and bugs can get quite annoying!!

Bugs? You mean microphones. Yes, well, the difference between Music City's and DC's microphones is that DC's are all hidden, while Nashville's are all out in the open. Both record things.

I can't speak for Nashville, but Washington DC is no more bug-filled than anywhere else.
