i am a red head so i would have to say the short staright red hair. trust me brown is great but red is much better. you would totally stand out.

i think red short hair is more natural looking and the medium brown hair with highlights is too barbie-ish to me but hey every one has there own opinion and this is mine>

i think that medium brown straight hair with highlights would look better but it depends on you skin color.
