I was watching it the other night and there was one case of a wife who had called the cops about her husband whom she suspected of making meth in the family home. The cops came, and sure enough, they found the utensils for making meth. Later outside the camera was panning around; setting the scene and it zoomed in and held the shot for a few seconds on an Atheist bumper sticker on the car of the evil meth maker. Do you think this was the producer’s subtle way of highlighting the evils they see in Atheism?

I don't think they were implying that Atheism, in general, is "evil".

You can be the most heroic, most humble, most giving, most self-sacrificing person the world has ever seen, but if Jesus is not in your heart, not the ruler of your heart, then all of those things are in vain. They may help people, but, in the end, they don't point people to God - which is the very purpose of our lives.

On the other hand, if you "flaunt" that you're an Atheist, then something is surely not working right in your heart. Making meth in the family house is just another sign that something was wrong in the husband's heart.

nicely, option A: you tell your mom, she comments it, you and Rodriguez face expenditures. option B: you turn in Rodriguez, they charge him. nevertheless they're going to in all probability seek your place and do a blood attempt on you to verify in case you're using meth. Or option C: you do no longer tell your mom or the police and that they at last catch Rodriguez and that they get you as a participant and accessory to working the meth lab.

That's what's called "anecdotal evidence". According to the US Prison Bureau, less than 1% of the prison population reports as atheist. That's compared to about 10% of the US population.

So actually atheists are LESS likely to commit crimes.

I doubt it....it was more likely their way of fastening upon something, anything, out of the ordinary.

That show, from what I've heard, is not known for its sterling qualities and unprejudiced eye.

I think it should be renamed to "White Cops vs. Black or Poor Criminals."

it's another thing that bigots use to try & dehumanize atheists so they can feel better about themselves.

atheists are a minority, and we're treated as such. if it were about a minority race, they would do the same thing.
